Thought Leader Life Credibility Podcast Host, Mitchell Levy interviews Terry Knickerbocker Studio Faculty Member Julia Crockett who is an actor, choreographer, and movement specialist. Julia Crockett teaches Movement Technique that is part of a 2 Year Acting Conservatory Program offered by premier Acting School, Terry Knickerbocker Studio in Brooklyn, New York.

She currently teaches conservatory level movement at other leading studios and universities across New York City, including the Terry Knickerbocker Studio and Tisch School of the Arts NYU. Crockett also teaches Performance in Design for Parsons MFA students and in 2018 co-founded her own mobile movement studio, Movement for Everybody, which provides drop-in movement classes to the public in both New York City and Los Angeles.

Movement is about play, freedom, permission, and expansive motion. There’s music, improvisation, some alignment work, and a lot of contact work. It’s one thing to open up the body and be expansive on your own, but it’s very different to be vulnerable and also be in contact with another person.
