New York City-based Steven J. West is an actor, college audition coach, theatremaker, and performance consultant. He’s been seen on stages in NYC and across the country, performing everything from Shel Silverstein to Shakespeare!
As the founder and Artistic Director of NYC College Audition Coach, his students have appeared in Broadway and national touring productions, including Mean Girls, Gypsy, Matilda, Billy Elliot, A Christmas Story, and The Music Man. He has successfully guided students to acceptance into some of the country’s most prestigious training programs, such as the University of Michigan, Baldwin Wallace University, Penn State, Ithaca College, The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Nazareth University, and more!
Steven has had the privilege of sharing his passion for theatre with students, from Pre-K to graduate level, in various educational settings across the US, including private, parochial, and public schools in NYC, the tri-state area, and nationwide. In 2019, he received recognition for his work with students on the autism spectrum at Arts for Autism, an annual Broadway benefit concert held at the Gershwin Theater (home of Wicked) and hosted by Kelli O’Hara. Steven holds a BFA in Acting from Wayne State University and is a graduate of the American Studio at the Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT).
