Using traditional Williamson Technique exercises, the Movement Intensive begins to free the actor physically through ensemble movement. The actor begins to sense the possibility that rich, spontaneous contact can happen without tension or habits getting in the way. The Movement Intensive provides a parallel vocabulary and toolset for developing the physical side of the emotionally demanding Meisner training. The actor begins to understand how the body responds to and participates in the sensory stimuli of the imaginary world.
