Scott Poythress has worked professionally for over 31 years on stage, studio features, indie films, commercials and lending his voice to both video games and scripted podcasts. As an actor, producer, director and now award-winning editor he continues to stay busy on both the east and west coast.
Most recently he guest starred opposite Giancarlo Esposito in a new series for AMC, Parish, airing in 2023. He also produced and stars in the indie psychological thriller I Trapped the Devil which can currently be seen streaming on Hulu and all VOD Platforms.
Currently he can be seen in the Amazon Prime series, The Underground Railroad, written for the screen and directed by Barry Jenkins. You can also catch Scott in Greenland opposite Gerard Butler.
