One day “Improv for Actors” Workshop!
We’re thrilled to share our upcoming Improv for Actors workshop on Sunday, 11/22 from 9:45am–1:45pm! The workshop is taught by John Murray, a TKS alum and Upright Citizens Brigade teacher with over 20 years of long-form improv experience and TV credits including 30 Rock and Broad City.
In this four-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of longform improv using the fundamentals of the Meisner technique. Through playful, hands-on exercises, you’ll practice listening, responding, and trusting your impulses—giving yourself the freedom to make bold choices and surprise yourself in the moment. By the end of the day, you’ll be up on your feet creating comedic scenes on the spot.
This class is $150 and only $135 if you enroll by October 30th!

John Murray is a comedian, actor, and sketch writer based in Brooklyn with over 20 years of experience in long-form improv. He has performed and taught across the United States, as well as in London, Scotland, and Canada.
