Sakile Camara

Master Class Lecturer | High School Program

As a teacher she brings her experience with the Meisner Technique as well as other techniques that she has studied into the classroom.

Sakile Camara is an actor from Washington, DC and she loves living truthfully through a character’s imaginary circumstances whether it be on stage, in front of the camera, or in a voiceover studio bringing words on a page to life. Although she enjoyed acting in the DC area, she moved because she fell in love with the authenticity, creativity and fullness of NYC. Since moving, she has been blessed enough to teach classes and workshops with the wonderful company Meisner in Music and has become an adjunct professor at Pace University! As a teacher she brings her experience with the Meisner Technique as well as other techniques that she has studied into the classroom. She also works to cultivate a safe environment for her students to explore, fail, try and try again, which she thinks is imperative with such a vulnerable art form. She absolutely loves sharing what she has learned as an actor and having her students leave class with a sense of autonomy, safety within themselves and freedom to feel.
