Emotional Processing for Actors

Anger, sadness, joy….annoyance. Is that even a feeling? I don’t know!
You have just begun this exhilarating journey of examining yourself, becoming aware of your conditioning and habits, and now need to move them aside to enable you to become the best actor you can be.

Course Overview

In Emotional Processing for Actors, we will focus on providing support, helping you to process your experience in class and address the issues and challenges that are arising for you in the work.

The group will provide a safe space:

  • To debrief
  • To share your experience along with your peers
  • To provide support
  • To help you process what is coming up as a result of the work
  • To gain perspective
  • To illuminate what may be bubbling beneath the surface
  • To engage in a guided breathwork practice to facilitate emotional release from our bodies

Emotional Education Group Member

I love Sinead. She’s so calming, she’s so warm, but not in a performative way. She just is warmth and is this calm and centered energy that is so necessary because the things that come up in the Emotional Education Group are so personal and so vulnerable.

A gray-haired man in a white shirt sits on a table, gesturing animatedly like William Esper, as he talks to an engaged group of people around him. The group, consisting of both men and women, takes notes in the brightly lit room.
