This workshop offers an opportunity for actors to explore wearing many hats – that of writer/deviser, director, producer and creator of work. Participants will form an ensemble, building trust so they feel comfortable to take risks – mirroring the work done in the early days of LAByrinth Theater Company, of which Deblinger is a founding member. This work is based on three tenets: ensemble, multi-disciplinary, and self-generating. Music, movement and comedy will be injected into this process in a manner that reflects the inclinations of those in the room. The program will culminate with a performance event and celebration for the ensemble and invited guests.
