Kevin Kuhlke is an actor, director, and playwright. He has been a professor at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for over two decades and also teaches regularly at NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi.
Kevin has acted with many preeminent theater companies and directors including Robert Wilson and Anne Bogart. He has directed extensively in New York, regionally, and in Europe, and has taught master acting and directing classes in Cuba, Iceland, England, Switzerland, Holland, Austria, Denmark, Germany and in several American universities and training programs including CalArts, Naropa and Playwrights Horizons.
He also served as Chair of Tisch Drama from 2001-2008 and was the director of the Experimental Theater Wing from 1991-2001 where he produced over 100 productions. His production work, teaching, and research integrates various approaches to live performance including Viewpoints, physical theater, and detailed realistic script analysis with dramaturgical applications of contemporary cultural studies.
Kevin is the founder and director of the Tisch International Theatre Summer Training program in Amsterdam.
