Allison Brzezinski wears many hats as an arts administrator, educator, producer, performance artist, photographer, and choreographer. She is the former Managing Director of Stonestreet Studios, and previously worked as the Senior Director of Programming for the actor networking studio One on One NYC/LA, where she helped guide actors through the next steps of their career by demystifying the business of acting and sharing her knowledge of the industry. She has a developed keen eye for brand articulation and how actors can use their brand as an access point into the industry. She believes strongly in empowering actors so that they are equipped to face the industry head on.
In addition to her work as an educator, Allison leads the orchestration of Nasty Women Unite Fest, a multimedia arts celebration of intersectional feminism that will take place again this June. A passion for arts activism in the current political climate and how women are seen in society led her to create the ChEck Us OuT Dance Festival: A Celebration of Female Choreographers, through which she curated female dance makers from across the globe to perform in NYC. Her own work has been shown internationally. Producing highlights include: Unraveling Chronophobia, A Thread that Ties Us All, Sexless Pornos: a performance and photography exhibition, and the live art series U.S.O.ver. Allison has worked with a variety of notable theater and dance companies including Primary Stages, White Wave Dance Company, Children’s Theatre Company, FringeNYC, Planet Connections Theater Festivity, Parsons Dance, and the New York International Ballet Competition. She was also a member of the Peer Leadership Circle for Dance Mentorship Program, produced by Queens Council on the Arts.
